Spurn Point - a general site for Spurn which has some recent bird news. Gateshead Birders - regularly updated with bird news and other interesting wildlife sightings. Birding St Mary's Island - regularly updated and a nice site to fill in what's going on to the north of the Tyne. Teesmouth Bird Club - excellent site with frequently updated bird news. Durham Bird Club - information about the club and other aspects of Durham birding. Northumberland & Tyneside Bird Club - well presented site with lots of info about the NTBC. Tom Tams Bird Images - superb photos of local and national scarce and rare birds. John Molloy's Bird Photos - excellent photos of birds mainly in Northumberland. Keith Regan's Birding Site - lots of photos of Northumberland birds from past and present. RSPB Northern England - lots of news and conservation matters from Northern England. National bird news websites: BirdGuides - The best news site, even better if you take out the cheap subscription. BirdCall - updated several times through the day. BirdNet - comprehensive news service and provider of rare bird information/pagers, with searchable database of earlier bird news. General birding websites: Surfbirds - covering all aspects of birding. Great photo galleries. Fat Birder - an excellent information and links portal. UK400 Club - Lee Evans's famous 'club', but the site also has lots of information on recent sightings, id etc. Dean Birders - birding information from the Forest of Dean maintained by and for disabled and housebound birdwatchers. Birding holiday companies: Bird Holidays - worldwide birdwatching holiday specialists, small groups relaxed pace and professional leaders. Schiffornis - specializing in scheduled and customized professionally guided birding tours throughout the world. Moths: Atropos - excellent forums for tricky identifications and up to date migration news. UK Moths - fantastic range of photos and information. VC66 Moths - frequently updated with photos from Jamie Duffy's moth traps. Cetaceans: Orcaweb - Biscay Dolphin Research - lots of info and sightings from the Biscay area. Sea Watch Foundation - Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society - the society to join if you want to help cetaceans worldwide.
